Home Visits
Home visits are only available, at a doctor’s
discretion, to those patients who are too ill to attend
the surgery. This is due to our large geographic area
and the time that it takes for a doctor to travel to and
from patients’ homes. All requests for home visits,
including urgent requests, will be referred to a doctor
or nurse practitioner.
Please note:
-
Requests for home visits should be made, whenever
possible, before 11.00am. However, there is no need
to call just after 8.30am, when our phones are at
their busiest.
-
The receptionist will ask for the patient’s name,
address, age, telephone number, address directions
and a brief description of the symptoms.
-
A doctor may telephone you, before visiting, to
assess the urgency of the problem.
