Appointment times
vary across the working day, from Monday to Friday. The
receptionists will be able to advise you of specific
session times.
Appointments are usually booked 10 minutes apart. Some
can be booked up to one week in advance while others are
kept for same-day bookings. Patients are usually seen
within 48 hours of contacting their Health Centre,
although some prefer to wait longer to suit their own
needs.
There is a team of people working in the Health Centre,
so please ask for an appointment with the most
appropriate person. If you are not certain, our
receptionists will be happy to advise you.
Please note that:
- Patients have the right to choose
their GP, although this will depend on the numbers
of patients already allocated to each GP. Where
possible, we like patients to see this GP (their
“usual” doctor) as we know that patients value
continuity of care. However, there will be times
when you may need to see another doctor, or a nurse
practitioner, when your own is not available.
- An appointment is for one person
only. If two people want a joint appointment, please
make a double appointment.
- If you are unable to keep an
appointment, please notify Reception staff as soon
as possible, so that the appointment may be offered
to another patient.
